The Art of Healing is a transformative experience where we honor the story that has shaped you. Through a combination of guided meditation, personal introspection, and ceramic painting we create a sacred space to reconnect with your inner voice, process your journey, and create something beautiful from it. No art skills required—just a willingness to show up for yourself and those around you. Come as you are. Leave with art that tells your story.

About The Art of Healing
A Trauma-Informed Workshop that utilizes an artistic path to healing

Healing isn’t a destination — it’s a practice of returning to ourselves again and again, through creativity, reflection, and the courage of allowing ourselves to be seen.

The Art of Healing, inspired by the work of artist Lanecia Rouse, offers a trauma-informed, creativity-centered space that invites participants to find healing both within themselves and with those around them. Using a blend of meditative practices, personal introspection, and ceramic painting, participants are gently led through a process that honors the complexity of their stories and reminds them that beauty can emerge from every stage of their journey.

This 2.5-hour experience is carefully curated for a variety of audiences and is perfect for team or wellness retreats, recovery centers, non-profits, faith communities, and anyone seeking a meaningful, inclusive, immersive experience that fosters individual and collective connection, renewal, and healing. No artistic experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to engage in allowing your story to transform you by becoming art.

What to Expect:

Grounding and Reflection – We begin with guided meditation and gentle reflection prompts designed to calm the nervous system, foster presence, and invite inner exploration.
Creative Expression as Healing – Using ceramic bowls as a canvas, participants are guided through an meaningful painting process that honors the complexity of their unique story and encourages them to reconnect with themselves and their journey by utilizing creativity path to healing.

A Brave and Nurturing Space – Experience a supportive, inclusive environment rooted in trauma-informed care—where authenticity is welcomed, stories are honored, and healing happens in community.
A Meaningful Keepsake – Leave with more than just a hand-painted bowl—you’ll carry a tangible reminder of your journey, along with a deeper sense of connection, insight, and renewal.

"It is no exaggeration to say that Amber's events have been some of the most healing experiences of my life. Amber is a master at encouraging without pushing, understanding how to move a group through an experience, and bringing people together in a way that facilitates deep bonding and the kind of relationships that last.”

"There is something deeply nourishing about showing up somewhere and feeling immediately nurtured by a host and a space. The care, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail that flows with Amber is one-of-a-kind. Amber's approach to hosting is genuine, loving, and grounded in healing, inclusion and comfort for all participants and their unique needs."

Debbie (Berthoud, CO)

"The Art of Healing was AMAZING! I’m 67 and it was the best workshop I believe I’ve ever attended! There were so many new friendships formed and connections made. We shared laughter, tears, and vulnerabilities. And thanks to Amber’s sensitive guidance, it happened seamlessly, without any pressure to perform. I walked away knowing myself  better and accepting things I had previously seen as flaws."

Healing is definitely a journey full of many experiences. Creative expression can enhance that journey and aid the body in processing trauma, pain, and suffering. I see events such as The Art of Healing as essential considering the spaces many of us find ourselves in the world today.
